Vivienne Colle
Patternless sewing. Vivienne Colle maintained a boutique on NYC's upper fifth Avenue, where movies stars and cognoscenti shopped for clothing they wouldn't see everywhere. She decribes having been given tablecloths and lace and told to make a dress in hours. the illustrations are vaery basic, and some of the instructions might have been expanded. When I made clothing from this in 1970, I had to take everything in. Her seam allowances are generous.
