Research texts on the artistic and cultural legacy that Baroque artist Cristo bal de Villalpando (Mexico City, c. 1649 - 1714) left in Puebla during the 17 century, including a number of early artistic works for the Cathedral of Puebla. "We are, therefore, before one of the great and recognized masters of painting in New Spain. His prolific work has been studied and is increasingly well known. However, one aspect of its production on which it is worth stopping, has not been studied enough: an important part in number and quality of his painting production was made for the archbishopric of Puebla and they are still in this city or in its immediate vicinity."
