Strafrechtspolitik
Work detail
Under the general umbrella heading of criminal law policy, this book discusses the relationship between penal legislation, penology and criminal justice. This relationship has been increasingly neglected in recent years. Therefore, the contributions compiled here aim above all to remind penologists about this relationship, and in particular to draw their attention to its function and significance in terms of democratic criminal law. This is will become even more important, the more the changes to society and the state have an impact on criminal law. By means of different perspectives, such as those of crime policy, legal theory and dogmatics, criminology and penal practices, this book aims to show that only forms of criminal law and penology which are aware of their own preconditions and limits can deal with crime and conflict fairly and thus hope to be accepted by Society.
