After leaving home at nineteen, Gail Landon is seeking the adventure and excitement that ranch life couldn't satisfy. Subsequently, he becomes involved with the notorious Trantler gang. On the night the gang is planning the saloon bank robbery, Gail receives word that his parents have been killed and he has inherited the Hanging X.
