In "The Ghost of Jean Lafitte," Ernie Denvers is running for his life through the bayous of East Texas. When he meets a mysterious woman, she leads Denvers to an ancient Colonial house that was once the hideaway of the notorious pirate, Jean Lafitte. To the woman's dismay, she finds that Denvers is not the man she was supposed to meet. "The Ghost Horse" is set in Wyoming in the shadows of the Tetons. Calico Rivers is a horse-runner who makes his living catching wild horses. When he and his thirteen-year-old son, Eddie, come upon an Appaloosa stallion, the gunfire begins, issuing from an irate horse rancher who insists the stallion is a killer and must be destroyed.
