Do Right Daily
Work detail
This devotional calendar contains passages from the sermons of evangelist-educator Dr. Bob Jones, Sr. (1883-1968), a man who, as a fellow evangelist said, "had something of the earnestness of Truett, the story-telling charm of Rader, the sweet simplicity of Gipsy Smith, the courageous convictions of Billy Sunday." Today he is best known as the founder of Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Though these sermon excerpts are decades old, they remain timely -- as up-to-date as the gospel of Christ and as universal as the problems of life they address. They are offered here with an invitation to join the many students of Dr. Jones, his "boys and girls" -- an invitation to enroll, as they did, in his school of life. -- Back cover. Enjoy a year's worth of inspirational thoughts extracted from the sermons of Dr. Bob Jones, Sr., evangelist and founder of Bob Jones University. His chapel sayings and a Scripture verse accompany the daily messages and underscore their themes. The dates fit any year. Do Right Daily commemorates, and perpetuates, one of the richest ministries of modern times. -- BJU Review, Winter 1994, page 17.
