Vegetarian cooking
Work detail
About as good as it gets. This is the book we would keep in our kitchen if we had to clear out all but one. There is a basic introduction to the concept of eating vegetarian and a good breakdown of special ingredients if you are new to the subject. The rest of the book follows a standard format of starters, salads, main courses and puddings. A baking section at the end has recipes for cakes and bread and two pages of useful sauces. You get a quality, mouth watering photo (Roger Philips) with every recipe and good instructions. This is quality old school cooking (1985) with no frills. If you love modern life you will not like this book - it has a basic honesty and goodness that you will not comprehend.
