The author purchased 27 acres just south of Lake Erie in Pennsylvania and developed the existing habitats -forest, pole timber, brush, grassland, stream, pond, and swamp. He identifies the plants and animals and describes his experiences and associations with each of them Very interesting and enjoyable.
