As years go by
Work detail
In 1962 the Beatles signed with EMI Records. The rest is history. However, for Decca, the only other major record company of the time, this event triggered a frenetic search for talent wich persisted throughout the 1960s. At the time, David Wedgbury was the first staff photographer to be employed by Decca and his brief was to capture all this raw talent on film for the equally new and exciting world of pop promotion. This book collects together 100 of the best of these photographs, including the Rolling Stones, the Who, David Bowie and Marianne Faithfull. The photographs by David Wedgbury are annotated with anecdotes and personal reminiscences written by John Tracy.
