The history of the construction of the Aqueduct of Father Tembleque, an extraordinary 16th century hydraulic construction designed to bring water to Otumba and communities gathered around the Convent of All Saints Zempoala, (Zempoala, Zacuala and Tlaquilpan, State of Mexico). "The Aqueduct of Father Tembleque started its construction in 1545 and was concluded 17 years later. Its approximate distance is 48 kilometers and has 250 meters in height. Its main function was to bring water from the Cerro de Tecajete in the State of Hidalgo, to the town of Otumba, State of Mexico" (HKB Translation) --Page 9.
