A No-Fuss Christmas
Work detail
Christmas is coming, and Sueker wants a big, fragrant tree with red bows and lots of candy and presents. Most of all, she wants her brother Razz to come visit her at her foster parents' home. But since the Great Depression began, folks have been struggling for daily food. There is no money for celebrating or traveling. Sueker's foster parents tell her that nothing is too hard for God. But little food, no rain, and dusty, empty streets make it hard for Sueker and her family to believe. A No-Fuss Christmas is the story of Christmas joy coming to a tiny Oklahoma town in 1932. - Back cover.
