Boston’s Thomson- Heinle-has just published the fourth edition of the Spanish book “Latinoamérica, su civilización y su cultura” by Eugenio Chang-Rodríguez, a CUNY professor, cochair of the Columbia University Seminar on Latin America, and author of twenty-two books on linguistics and literary criticism. The new publication has 446 pages, of comprehensive and accessible text that provides a rich synthesis of Latin American civilization and culture. The text takes the reader on a 20-chapter tour of the progression of Latin American culture—from the pre-Columbian era to Hispanics in the United States today.
