It is 1970 and Kathy Dean, with a baby and a gambling husband, is struggling to make ends meet. She threatens to leave Johnny, but he is in deeper than she could ever imagine, and gets involved in a crime that will lead to disaster. Kathy is supported by Johnny's family but she gets lonely, and when she meets an attractive new man she cannot resist him. Then Johnny's family find out he's moved in with her and all hell breaks loose. As her life crumbles around her, Kathy determines to get back all she has lost, but can anything be the same?
