The collection of paintings holds more then 1500 works. This is the first time they are published as a whole. The collection has its main focal points in paintings of the Middle Ages, the early Renaissance and the 19th century, but M offers more. Apart from the full and illustrated overview of all the paintings in the collection, the book also contains an art historical introduction by Veronique Vandekerckhove and Lorne Campbell about the history of the collection of M and how it was formed. Additionally, 50 paintings have been selected and placed within their context.
