The present critically annotated edition by Dr. Karim Schelkens - containing both the original Dutch text and an English translation - now makes Schillebeeckx| private notes, jotted down during the first two council periods, readily available for a wider public, thereby offering its readers a unique possibility to enter into the thought world and the activities of this theological giant.
