Silent Voices is an interesting African literature with Emeka as the protagonist. Emeka is a teacher in a secondary school who later proposes to marry a village belle who disappoints him to marry a wealthy businessman because of his wealth. little does she know that not all that glitters is gold. Emeka is later elevated and the young woman whose husband has taken to lechery regrets and wishes that she was married to Emeka. But it has become too late as Emeka has married and lives happily with his wife.
