In 2020, it will be 100 years since the referendum on the location of the Danish-German border took place. Up until the vote, there was agitation on the loose, not least with the help of the posters that play the main role in this book. The years just after World War I were a chaotic time of upheaval. Europe needs to find a new balance. This is reflected, among other things, in the border changes that took place in 1920-21. Some borders were moved according to the dictates of the victors of the war, while others were based on polls that took into account the minds of the people and the right to self-determination. Today we can see what consequences the setting of boundaries had and how the development was in the long run. But with the posters as an entrance, we come close to the events, arguments, concerns and hopes of a time when nothing was yet certain. We fall into a time pocket that brings us into the lives of the people of that time and their worldview 2020 er det 100 år siden, at afstemningen om den dansk-tyske grænses placering fandt sted.
