This publication is the result of a collaborative effort of the World Tourism Organization, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Statistical Office of the European Communities and the United Nations Statistics Division. It presents information on concepts, definitions, classifications, tables and aggregates linked to the standard tables of the 1993 System of National Accounts. It also analyzes in detail all the aspects of demand and supply of goods and services that might be associated with tourism and describes how this supply interacts with other economic activities.
