“Bryant: A Creek Indian Nation Townsite” is a 341-page history of the Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, Creek Indian Nation town site of Bryant and of the public school once in operation there. It consists of a narrative to provide an account of some of the key events that took place at the town site from the late 1800s up to recent times, a collection over 150 photographs, facsimiles of selected documents, various mementos, and other graphic forms. The intent of the author was to capture the look and feel of day-to-day life in one of the many town sites incorporated on the heels of the Oklahoma Land Rush.
