Little Black Ant
Work detail
This book is written from the perspective of a little black ant who was separated from her colony and could not find her way home. It detailed all her adventures during that time which included descriptions of the other insects along her way. It is a biologically correct book, not a fairy tale, but is written in a way young children can understand it but still interesting for adults as well as offering a lesson in biology regarding insects and plants. I highly recommend it for the life of an ant but also, or maybe more for, the life lessons learned along the way. Do not confuse it with later books written with the same title.
