The present publication is prepared by the Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs, with the assistance of the Registry of the International Court of Justice, in the framework of the United Nations Programme of Assistance in the Teaching, Study, Dissemination and Wider Appreciation of International Law. It contains summaries of judgments, advisory opinions and orders delivered by the International Court of Justice. Three volumes of this publication have been issued, respectively covering the periods 1948-1991, 1992-1996 and 1997-2002.
