A film born out of the terrors of the deep. The cast and crew gathered on the island of Martha's Vineyard in the dead of winter. The setting of the story they were to film was the untamed sea. The central figure was a vicious, man-eating great white shark. The creative chemistry would come from the explosive temperaments of the human beings involved...the powerful tycoons who owned the story and controlled the purse strings...the brilliant director who refused to compromise with authenticity...the actors and actresses for whom the make-believe jaws of danger and terror soon became all too real. Now all of it has been recorded by the writer who saw his fiction turning into fact-- The Jaws Log
