Persuading her famous father to let her star in his adaptation of The Tempest was hard, but not impossible, for Tamara Waring. With the devoted Bernard, her father's assistant, the Warings set off on location in Italy. The only fly in the ointment is David Bryden, the script-writer. He doesn't think Tamara is right for the role. Then gradually, as the film begins to take shape, the antagonism between them turns to something more tender, more exciting.
