Change and Continuity in the 1996 and 1998 Elections presents a systematic and integrated picture of these two elections and reviews basic voting behavior research. Abramson, Aldrich, and Rohde use data from a wide variety of sourcesincluding the University of Michigan's National Election Studies, Gallup polls, exit polls, and official election returns - to place the 1996 and 1998 elections in historical context and assess the patterns of post-World War II politics.
