It has been ten years of research to build an exhibition on friendship between two great masters of Brazilian art of the twentieth century and seeks to punctuate with memories and artistic production the 50 years of close coexistence between - Alfredo Volpi (Lucca, Italy, 1896 - São Paulo, Brazil, 1988) and Bruno Giorgi (São Paulo, 1905 - Rio de Janeiro, 1993). The exhibition brings together around 100 works - most of them presented to the public for the first time - including paintings, drawings and sculptures from the Leontina and Bruno Giorgi Collection and private collectors. The works are interspersed with photographs, documents, testimonials and recordings with tasty narratives about this friendship that lasted from 1936 until Volpi's death in 1988.
