Bombastic, charismatic and unrelentingly negative, the Reverend Ian Paisley has variously been a figure of fear and fun in the British and Irish political scene for 40 years. But since his deal with Sinn Féin, he has lost much support amongst his erstwhile constituency, together with the bribery scandal affecting his son and namesake.
