The work is published as part of the exhibition 'Two centuries of artistic life in Mons' but will be a work in its own right whose life will last well beyond the exhibition. The exhibition will present the artistic production linked to Mons between 1830 and 2020. It is a question of staging a history which is first and foremost that of artists, whether they are Mons or active in Mons, but which is also that of the City of Mons through its institutions: the Academy, the Museum and the exhibitions and fairs.
