Gods and Heroes, coordinated by Beatriz Barba Ahuatzin, "This volume examines multiple and contrasting images of the gods and the heroes who have inspired the artistic and historical expression of many peoples. Through this review is discovered the nature of the gods: omnipotent, omniscient and incorporeal, beings that help people in their trances harder, although not always willing to be part of a society and sometimes not like what individuals decide. For his part, heroes and heroines are revealed as beings with superhuman capabilities that make it possible for them to exploits that rarely can perform other mortals and that usually save lives and societies [...] The reader will find references to mythology and the ancient reality of cultures such as the Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Indian, Cuban, Spanish, Persian, Mesoamerican, and others, which represent their main deities and heroes in the likeness of men and performing the various tasks in order to save the companies human concerns economic, military, family, religious, political, or loving."
