When Slim Petersen overhears kidnap plans, involving the son of one of the Vargo boys, he fails to convince the brothers of the plot -- until there's an attempt upon his own life. Then, despite him working to thwart the kidnappers, it seems that the outlaws' plans are working. One Vargo dies and another is taken prisoner.
