Russell, Musical director: Mr. Sandy Jamieson ... First night of the great novelty entitled "The Seven Sisters!" which has been for many weeks in active preparation. It will be produced for the first time in the City of Washington, on this Monday ev'g, Dec. 9, 1861 and every night during the week ... The play will be produced under the superintendence of Mr. John E. McDonough. New & local scenery has been painted by Mr. Lamb. Among the various novelties which the play presents, is a grand Zouave march and drill by twenty young ladies in full costume, commanded by Miss Susan Denin, the beautiful and popular comedienne. The last scene will represent the birth of the butterfly in the bower of ferns. First appearance of Mr. Joseph Fannin as Arthur Stumer, the poor artiste ...
