"The CD ROM comprises seven data bases. Three data bases contain clues where to look for particular sources: The Registers of Population in Archival Materials (ELA), The Programme for the Registration of Records from Parish and Public (Civil) Registers (PRADZIAD) and German Public (Civil) Registry in Poland (USC). They refer to the holdings of Polish state archives, a subordinate to the Head Office of State Archives, to the holdings of some diocesan archives as well as to public (civil) registry offices which have at their disposal materials produced by German offices. This CD ROM contains also three detailed data bases relating to materials kept in the Central Archives of Historical Records: ennoblements (Nobilitacje) and The Lutherans in Warsaw (Ewangelicy) and Landowners in Podlasie (Podlasie). They are complemented by a data base named Archiwa which contains names and addresses of Polish state archives which are subordinated to the Head Office of State Archives"--Container.
