Against this background, this volume traces both the rethinking of the link between art and politics and the implications of demanding a "socially useful" art, as well as the rise of social collaboration, the role of the ruins of the modern imaginary and the need to displace artistic stories in Mexico towards feminisms or the singularities of Oaxaca or Monterrey. Disseminated conceptually and geographically, the contributions gathered here echo the very process that is enshrined in the collapse of the Berlin Wall, with spatially and temporally protracted reverberations that still cut through the forms taken by artistic practices today.
