This book puts the doctrinal teachings of the popular Bill Gothard under the scrutiny of the Bible and seeks to demonstrate how some of his teachings and principles can have a detrimental effect on people. The authors do not presume to judge Mr. Gothard's heart. They do not seek to personally attack Mr. Gothard. Rather, in the name of truth, they focus primary attention on his teachings and the effect of those teachings on people. Among other things, they demonstrate quite convincingly that Gothard wrongly defines grace and falls prey to legalism. They also take him to task for often citing biblical passages to argue points and principles that they do not prove. They insist on being biblical. - Foreword.
