The exhibition "Sommergäste" [summer visitors] offers the first glimpse of classical modern artists who came to the summer resort at the Baltic Sea in order to work there. The book presents masterpieces of art against the cultural background of correspondence and historical photographs from a region of tranquil atmosphere. The publication presents masterpieces in the art-historical context of their creation and coherently presents the artistic viewpoints in retrospect of historical photographs.
