Playbill advertisement for the third annual tour (1884-1885 season) of the "Bandit King" with notice of upcoming performances at the Howard Athenaeum, "one week, commencing Monday, April 13, [1885]," a cast list, synopsis, and press reviews. Originally titled "Jesse James, the Bandit King," written by James J. McCloskey, produced by S.H. Barrett, and starring James H. Wallick as the titular James, the equestrian drama depicted James as a modern-day "Robin Hood" and purported to feature two of Jesse James' horses, Bay Raider and Roan Charger. Consult Hall, R.A.
