Energy efficiency and sustainable green standards have emerged in developed countries, in particular in the united States and canada. This book explains this new direction in the construction of buildings. it has three parts with illustrative examples of several types of homes: prefabricated, rehabilitated, made with natural materials... The first part (the three Rs in the construction of a home which are recycle, reduce and reuse) explains how we can reduce the amount of waste. The second one is dedicated to the new technologies in the house. The third part deals with ideas for alternative homes (cave houses, new houses on trees, camouflaged...).
