The monograph ... conveys the author's perspective on creation history, project planning methodology, and current condition of one of the biggest open air museum in our country. "Malye Korely" is located near Arkhangelsk and is on a par with other European museums of this type. The book presents creation history of such museums from the end of the XIX century. There are more than two thousands of them in Europe and about forty in Russia. The author participated in developing the site's layout, as well as all aspects of detailed design of its sectors, restoration projects, and recommendations for the selection and transportation of the monuments to the territory of the museum "Malye Korely," as well as in developing scientific justification and general layout for the Museum of the Vologda region. The book presents the scientific research and design projects of the author and her colleagues, including many illustrations, photographs, measurements, plans, drawings of settlements and monuments before transfer and after their installation at the museums site. The book will interest architects, art historians, and other specialists, as well as all other readers who care about the rare and disappearing wooden architecture of Russia and the Russian North.
