Zeichnungen und Aquarelle des Späten 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts
Work detail
This collection catalogue is the first to introduce more than 600 drawings and watercolors from the 18th and 19th centuries preserved in the Graphische Sammlung München (graphic arts collection). Many of the works originate from the hands of well-known artists, such as Ludwig Richter, Moritz von Schwind, Franz von Lenbach, Carl Blechen, Friedrich Overbeck, Bonaventura Genelli and Giacinto Gigante. The catalogue encourages comparison by categorizing creative influence and impact according to the renowned art centers in the German-speaking and European regions; in Dresden, Munich, Vienna, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Italy or France. This volume grants an overview into drawing techniques as well as stylistic characteristics, and illustrates the immense spectrum of art in the late 18th and 19th centuries. Exhibition: Kulturhistorisches Museum, Magdeburg, Germany (04.03-22.05.2016).
