What are two outsiders doing in a city? We look around, muse and paint. The challenge is to find something of a city in six months that sheds a different light than the information brochure of the VVV. We do this by walking in the other direction, with our backs to the center. Along the way we meet people and remarkable scenes. We look at what strikes us. That can be a new building in an old neighborhood, but also people who do not fit in the environment in which they walk. There is a story behind it, which we record and paint. Het is de uitdaging om in een half jaar tijd iets van een stad te vinden, dat een ander licht werpt dan de informatiefolder van de VVV. Dat doen we door de andere kant op te lopen, met de rug naar het centrum toe. Onderweg komen we mensen tegen en opmerkelijke taferelen. We kijken naar wat ons opvalt. Dat kan een nieuw gebouw in een oude wijk zijn, maar ook mensen die niet passen in de omgeving waar ze lopen. Daar zit een verhaal achter, dat we optekenen en schilderen.
