Das Grundgesetz ist gerade in Krisenzeiten die Grundlage jedes gesellschaftspolitischen Diskurses in Deutschland. Wer wollte auch widersprechen? Und doch ist das Grundgesetz umstritten. Die einen setzen einzelne Sätze absolut, während andere von komplizierten Abwägungen und notwendigen Einschränkungen reden. Diese Debatte darf keineswegs allein den Juristen vorbehalten bleiben, sie muss von uns allen geführt werden. Denjenigen, die literarisch schreiben, kommt dabei eine besondere Rolle zu. Darum kommentieren in diesem Buch 40 Schriftsteller:innen, Journalist:innen und Jurist:innen die Präambel, die Grundrechte, wichtige Artikel zu Rechtsstaatlichkeit, Umweltschutz oder Schuldenbremse sowie die großen verfassungsrechtlichen Abschnitte zum Föderalismus, zur Rechtsprechung oder zum Amt des Bundespräsidenten. Die Perspektiven sind dabei so unterschiedlich wie die Autor:innen, aber alle sprechen ganz voraussetzungslos zu allen Interessierten. Für sie ist dieser Kommentar.
