This survey assesses public support for Central and Eastern Europe as well as for political and economic change. Those surveyed were asked about the financial situation of households, attitudes toward a market economy, and the privatization of state enterprises. Respondents were probed about their level of satisfaction with democracy development in their country and human rights issues. Countries surveyed include Albania, Armenia, Belorus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Poland, Romania, European Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
