The Doctor's Circle
Work detail
Ivor Huwlett's father jilted Gay Knight's Aunt Catherine, but the coolness between the two families had gone on ever since. But when Gay returned home after several years abroad, to find that Ivor was now the local doctor and that they would inevitably be thrown into each other's company, it began to look as if, through the younger generation, the feud might come to an end. Until Medlicott House, the local mansion, came onto the market, and Gay and Ivor found themselves on opposite sides of the fence - she and her parents wanting it for an hotel, he hoping to turn it into an old people's home. Was the old quarrel going to grow deeper and more bitter in the future?
