Work detail
Set on the Isle of Skye in fifteenth-century Scotland, this historical romance follows the aftermath of a brutal feud between the MacKay and MacDougald clans. As a child, Tynan MacDougald is taken captive after his clan is defeated, and the memory of that loss shapes him into a man driven by revenge. Years later, he is drawn into the search for Nara, a woman with ties to the MacDougald laird and a dangerous place in the future of both families. What begins as a mission rooted in old grievances becomes complicated by loyalty, identity, and attraction. Tynan must confront the vows that have defined his life and the possibility that love may demand more courage than vengeance. Against a backdrop of clan conflict and Highland history, the novel explores how inherited hatred can shape personal choices and whether reconciliation can survive the weight of the past.
