The buccaneer Captain John Coxon mistakes Hector Lynch for the nephew of Sir Thomas Lynch, Governor of Jamaica. Hector encourages the error so that his friends Jacques and Dan can go free. Coxon delivers Hector to Sir Henry Morgan, Governor Lynch's adversary. However the deception is revealed, humiliating Coxon who becomes a dangerous enemy to Hector... Befriended by Jezreel, an ex-prize fighter, Hector is also reunited with Jacques and Dan, and they join the great buccaneer raid and attack Panama. There, embroiled in trouble, they escape to safety, only to return to the West Indies as wanted men. Coxon has turned state's evidence - Hector stands accused of murder and piracy.
