Biography of Aurelius Augustinus (354-430), who was born at Tagaste, North Africa as a Christian in the Roman Empire. He moved to Milan, Italy, and later became Bishop of Hippo, at Hipo Regius in North Africa. He was a Roman Catholic philosopher and writer, best known for his autobiography, "Confessions," and for his "City of God." After his death, he was made " St. Augustine" of the Roman Catholic church.
