A "coming-of-age story about a young Polish girl and her friendships with Madame Curie and Eusapia Palladino"-- Lucia Rutkowski escapes the Warsaw ghetto to work as a kitchen maid in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the bustling city of Paris.
