Mean tears
Peter Gill1 editions
When privileged and affected Julian is cast off into the world by his parents, he is left to negotiate the various power struggles within his love affairs and friendships. The result is a tale of romantic excess, set within the pervading callousness and despair of the late 1980s. 'Mean Tears' was first performed in the Cottesloe auditorium of the National Theatre, London, in July 1987.
