When two Australian nurses, Mae Winters and Sally Brandeis, crash-land after a mercy mission in the New Guinea jungle, they are the only survivors. As they wait for rescue, their would-be liberators are massacred by a Japanese patrol, leaving them in the hands of the modern Samurai, Lieutenant Oshima, and his sadistic Sergeant Nagato.
