The Complete Training Guide For Judo
Work detail
The author, a past Olympian and kinesiologist, discusses the many body systems that need to be trained in competitive judo. He provides different methods to train these systems using both weight training and bodyweight exercises. In addition, he covers periodization and how to apply it to year-round training. Included in the book is a chart that can be used by the reader to track his/her training over the whole year. This was a ground-breaking book back in 1981 when it was published, and is still in use today. It contains valuable information for those judo athletes wishing to improve their game.
