In 2002, Palestinian and Israeli historians, as well as geographers, journalists, translators, and others, met for a series of discussions in Cyprus and Jerusalem to share their views on what happened in Israeli and Palestinian history. Seven topics were chosen from the period 1882-1949, and a Palestinian and an Israeli prepared a short paper intended to present an "Israeli" or "Palestinian" view of that subject.
